My Poster About Me And My Family

This is my poster about me and my family if you cant see them or don't know what they are I will tell you.  My identity, mihi, what manaakitanga means to me, what whanaungatanga means to me and drawing the other half of my face.  I've been working on it for about 9 weeks.  You might think why I didn't just write it and ill tell you why I didn't just write it because that's just boring always writing stuff when you can do it in a fun way, that fun way is doing it with pictures or art and stuff like that.  I feel proud of my work because I spent a lot of time on it and I worked hard to get it finished.

My identity is my flag, family, what language I speck and my name.

My mihi is what school I go to, principal name, my teachers name, my room number, where i'm from, my family name and my name.

Manaakitanga means to me a good person that leads to things like this partner ship, participation, protection, happiness, kindness, friend ship, safe and nice and more words like that.

Whanaungatanga means to me that I will show hospitality, kindness, caring and friend ship and a scene of belonging to a group witch means they are asking to be apart of the group and agreeing to be nice, look after each other and be respectful.  ( with out Manaakitanga you wont have whanaungatanga )

drawing the other half of my face: first my teacher took a pitcher of me and printed it.  secondly, she cut it in half so their was the left and right half.  Then I practiced on the right half then I did it on the left half.  After that I coloured it in with pastel.  Lastly I died it blue and then I let it dry.  I was finally finished.

Remember you don't always have to write stuff you can do it in a fun way and if you come up with a fun way that I didn't mention please leave it on comment.  Thank you.

Easy Blog Photo
Look what I've been doing this week.  I've been learning how to weave a box with clear instructions.  If you
want to make one ill tell you.  First you will need some equipment.

Equipment
Scissors
Ruler
Paper
Sellotape
Pen/Pencil

Once you have gathered all your equipment your ready to start.

Instructions

1.  Measure ten strips of paper 1 cm wide and 30 cm long.
2.  Then you cut your ten pieces of paper out.
3.  After that you place five strips on the ground/mat next to each other, about  2 cm width apart.
4. Then grab one of the strips that are not on the ground/mat and weave it through the ones on the ground/mat buy going under the first one and over the next one until you get to the end.
5.  Repeat step 4 using the 4 strips remaining.
6.  Once you have completed step 5 you careful push the strips in to the middle so their touching each other and make the inside makes a square.
7.  Sellotape each corner to help keep the strips in place.
8.  To make the sides of the box, fold the outside strips back to the base ( To keep the out sides straight fold the strips using the line of you base as your guyed.
9.  Cut out 4 strips that are 24 cm long and 1 cm wide.
10.  Take one strip and fold it into 4 quarters ( to give it 4 corners )
11.  With the same strip weave it through the 4 sides ( keep it tight )
12.  Sellotape each comer to keep the strip in place.
13.  Repeat steps 12 and 13 with the 3 remaining strips.
14.  To finish the box make sure you fold over any strips sticking up and tape them down

Hopefully you manged to make the box with my instructions.
